AXODRY – FEEL IT RIGHT
Emotion Enters the Machine

The Sound of Frankfurt didn’t start in clubs — it began taking shape as early as 1982/83. Axodry, founded by TALLA 2XLC and RAHEN (Ralf Henrich), sits right at that origin point.

With “Feel It Right” (1984), they pushed electronic music beyond pure mechanics. Where earlier projects defined structure and precision, AXODRY added something new: emotion, melody, and human presence — without losing control.

Built on tight sequencing, expressive synth lines, and a driving pulse, the track bridges early EBM, synth-pop, and club functionality. Not as fixed genres, but as a sound still being invented.

PROJECT ONE – LOOK OUT

Originally conceived for AXODRY, “Look Out” evolved during the creative collaboration between RAHEN, TALLA 2XLC, Axel Henninger, and Kurz Ader into a standalone project of its own identity.

What started as a focused production idea quickly expanded into something larger—driven by shared studio energy, experimental instincts, and a clear vision for a more direct, high-impact electronic sound.

PROJECT ONE represents that moment where intention shifts into direction: raw ideas refined through collaboration, resulting in a track that stands apart from its origins while still carrying their DNA.

“Look Out” delivers a precise blend of driving electronics, atmospheric tension, and forward motion—built to cut through and leave a mark.

AXODRY – SURRENDER

“Surrender” marks a distinctive moment in the AXODRY catalog, shaped by the vision of Ralf Henrich (Rahen), whose precise sense for electronic structure and emotional tension defines the track’s core identity.

Built on a foundation of minimalist drive and melodic restraint, the piece unfolds with a clear focus on atmosphere and progression rather than excess. Every element serves the composition, creating a controlled yet expressive electronic landscape.

A defining highlight is the guitar work by Bernd Pezalla (Bernie Syder), whose solo cuts through the electronic framework with striking clarity. The contrast between synthetic structure and organic lead guitar elevates “Surrender” into a hybrid space where emotion and machine logic meet without compromise.

The result is a track that balances discipline and expression—anchored in the aesthetic of early electronic innovation while opening a direct emotional channel through its guitar-driven climax.

AXODRY – FEEL IT RIGHT (PART TWO)

“Feel It Right (Part Two)” expands the AXODRY concept into a more defined and forward-leaning electronic statement, with Ralf Henrich (RAHEN) and TALLA 2XLC (Andreas Tomalla) in a leading creative role.

The track builds on the original foundation but shifts the focus toward greater structural clarity and sonic depth. Henrich’s precision in arrangement and melodic control meets TALLA 2XLC’s instinct for rhythm and club-oriented energy, resulting in a production that feels both disciplined and immediate.

Rather than revisiting familiar ground, PART TWO refines it—tightening the groove, sharpening the dynamics, and opening space for a more immersive electronic flow. The sound is reduced to its essential elements, allowing each layer to carry weight and intention.

The result is a streamlined evolution of AXODRY’s identity: direct, focused, and driven by the interplay between structure and motion.

AXODRY – YOU

“You” is one of the defining moments in the AXODRY catalogue, shaped by Ralf Henrich (RAHEN) as composer, programmer, and creative driver of the production.

Recorded at Cream Studio in Frankfurt, the track reflects the precision and sonic clarity associated with the “Sound of Frankfurt” era. The production process brought together key figures of that scene, with Andreas Tomalla aka Talla 2XLC and Ralf Henrich aka RAHEN steering the project’s artistic direction.

A decisive element of the track is the vocal performance by Mark Jefferis (TXT), whose delivery adds emotional contrast to the tightly structured electronic framework.

The sonic identity was further refined through the engineering work of Tommy Schmidt, whose contribution at Cream Studio is widely regarded as a key factor in the track’s polished, high-impact sound.

“You” stands as a classic intersection of structured electronic composition and expressive vocal performance—rooted in Frankfurt’s early electronic movement and shaped by a team that defined much of its sound aesthetic.

Recorded and produced in Frankfurt am Main, the track captures a moment where synth-driven precision, studio craftsmanship, and vocal character converge into a coherent electronic statement.

AXODRY – THE TIME IS RIGHT

“The Time Is Right” is a synth-pop / new wave-driven AXODRY track shaped by Ralf Henrich (RAHEN), who defines the musical direction with a clear focus on melodic structure, emotional restraint, and electronic precision.

Built on shimmering synth layers, steady electronic rhythms, and a forward-moving bass foundation, the production leans into classic wave aesthetics while keeping a clean, modern edge. The arrangement is intentionally open, allowing space for atmosphere, melody, and vocal expression to carry equal weight.

Alexander Maurus delivers the lead vocal with a controlled, expressive tone that fits the synth-pop framework naturally—direct, slightly detached, yet emotionally present. His performance anchors the track and gives it its human focal point.

Kurt Ader contributes to the production structure, reinforcing the harmonic flow and rhythmic stability that keeps the track grounded while still airy and melodic.

Under Henrich’s direction, “The Time Is Right” moves away from harder electronic minimalism into a more melodic wave-oriented sound: glossy synth textures, subtle emotional lift, and a clear 80s-inspired sensibility without becoming nostalgic imitation.

The result is a focused synth-pop statement—melodic, restrained, and driven by the balance between analog-inspired warmth and electronic clarity.

AXODRY – SAVE ME

“Save Me” reflects a formative synth-pop / new wave collaboration where Axodry emerges as a growing band identity rather than a single-direction project.

The track is shaped through the combined input of Ralf Henrich (RAHEN), Kurt Ader, and Alexander Maurus, with no single hierarchical authorship—more a shared studio process where arrangement, sound design, and melodic ideas develop collectively.

Built on layered synth textures, steady electronic rhythms, and a clear melodic backbone, the production leans into classic wave aesthetics: spacious, emotionally restrained, and driven by atmosphere as much as structure.

Alexander Maurus delivers the lead vocal with a direct, expressive tone that anchors the track emotionally. His performance provides the human focus, balancing the electronic framework with urgency and clarity.

The instrumental foundation is the result of joint development, with Henrich and Ader contributing equally to synthesis, rhythm programming, and arrangement decisions. The track’s strength lies in its balance—no single element dominates, everything serves the collective shape.

“Save Me” captures a moment of consolidation: Axodry forming its identity through collaboration, where electronic precision and synth-pop sensibility merge into a cohesive band sound rather than a producer-led concept.

AXODRY – LOSING YOU

“Losing You” shifts AXODRY into a more energetic Eurobeat-influenced synth-pop direction, driven by Ralf Henrich (Rahen) and Kurt Ader as a focused duo production.

The track is built on a faster tempo, with a punchy electronic rhythm section, bright synth stabs, and a driving bassline that pushes the energy forward from the first bar. Compared to earlier, more atmospheric work, this version leans into momentum, clarity, and dancefloor impact.

The arrangement uses classic Eurobeat and late-80s electronic pop elements: arpeggiated synth hooks, layered chord progressions, and a strong emphasis on rhythmic propulsion. Everything is designed for movement and immediacy rather than introspection.

Henrich and Ader share the production work, combining melodic structure with rhythmic precision. The sound is compact and forward-facing, with tight sequencing and a focus on hook-driven synth lines.

“Losing You” retains an emotional core through its melodic writing, but the delivery is more direct and kinetic—melancholy translated into motion rather than reflection. The result is a high-energy synth-pop track with clear Eurobeat DNA, balancing emotional theme and club-ready drive.

AXODRY – THIS IS MY LIGHT

“This Is My Light” pushes AXODRY into a bright synth-pop / Eurodance crossover, driven by Ralf Henrich (RAHEN) in a solo continuation of the project.

The track is built on a high-energy electronic foundation: a steady 4/4 dance beat, crisp hi-hats, and a pumping bassline designed for movement. Over this, shimmering synth layers and sharp melodic hooks create a luminous, uplifting atmosphere.

The sound design blends late-80s synth-pop sensibility with early-90s Eurodance energy—catchy chord progressions, arpeggiated leads, and a clear focus on repetition as momentum. Everything is engineered for immediacy: hook first, atmosphere second, impact always present.

Henrich’s approach here is direct and streamlined. The arrangement avoids complexity in favor of drive and clarity, letting each synth line act as a melodic statement rather than background texture.

“This Is My Light” stands as a forward-facing AXODRY track—bright, rhythmic, and dance-oriented, balancing emotional uplift with club-ready propulsion.
